Adult Fellowship Groups

United Methodist Women

Women of all ages are welcome. Please Barbara Smith or Ann Wright if you are interested in joining us.

Every Easter Sunday, the UMM prepare and serve breakfast following the Sunrise Service. Both the church and the community enjoy the United Methodist Men’s Brusnwick Stew fundraiser, in additon to their contributions to the Pumpkin Patch fundraiser and KAIROS Prison Ministry. If you are looking for a place to fellowship and serve, consider joining us one Saturday morning. For more information please contact Ed Cole at 804-748-2439.

This group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:00am. Please contact Angela Bailey for more information.

AA Support Group

Life presents many challenges, but no one has to do it alone. Join us every Thursday at 7:30. Find comfort and understanding to keep you on track with your journey to recovery.

Prayer Shawl Group

Do you enjoy crocheting? Can you knit or tie fleece? Join us each month as we lovingly create blankets for those who are ill, depressed, grieving and in need of comfort. One Tuesday each month from 6:30pm-8:30pm, the Prayer Shawl group creates blankets so that others may wrap themselves in comfort and prayer. Every creation is prayed over while it is being made and the person to whom it will be gifted is lifted up in prayer as well.

We are excited to announce our partnership with the Virginia Home as we will be gifting 33 blankets in memory of Stephanie Cox. Stephanie’s Blankets will find new homes in April. Everyone is welcome! Try us out! For more information, refer to the Sunday bulletin, contact Pam Soto at pumice@comcast.net or Janet Collins at montanadog96@gmail.com
